Google Sheets
Tips
- If you want Polytomic to leave the first row of your sheet as a header, you should freeze it from within Google Sheets. In Google Sheets, select the first row then go to View → Freeze → 1 row.
- "Replace Mode" Google Sheet syncs will always replace all rows, except frozen headers.
- Formatting and data validation changes in Google Sheets will persist after the sync replaces rows.
- Set Data Validation rules to instruct Polytomic to transmit values as numbers or dates. Doing this before syncing will allow Sheets to format data in your locale.
- To help others understand the data source, include a comment on a header row pointing to the sync's url.
