PostHog

You can use Polytomic to sync PostHog events and people to your data warehouse and cloud storage systems.

Polytomic connects to PostHog using a PostHog personal API key:

1. Generate a PostHog personal API key by going here: https://us.posthog.com/settings/user-api-keys.

2. In your PostHog console, these are the minimal permissions for your API key to export events. Add Read permissions on Cohort and Person if you want to export those collections too:

   • Organization & project access: All-access
   • Batch export: Write
   • Event definition: Read
   • Organization: Read
   • User: Read
   

3. In Polytomic, go to Connections → Add Connection → PostHog.

4. Enter your PostHog personal API key from step 1.
5. Select the location of your PostHog data (US vs EU).
6. Select the PostHog project to connect Polytomic to.
7. Click Save.
